...based on a re-visit to the Andes, to Chinchero,Peru. The women weave textiles and knit items of very fine caliber, which are sold in a cooperative store in Cuzco. The weavings of Chinchero are superior to the ones made for the local community in Bolivia (Tarata, Cochabamba Valley) at the time I served in the Peace Corps there. Original paintings are mostly on a half-sheet of watercolor (15" x 22"), Arches 140lb cold press.
