E-MAILIf you haven't been to northern Michigan, you might not believe that the waters of Lake Michigan appear aquamarine in the summer. It has something to do with chemical content, but also with the clarity of the water and the sandy bottoms near shore. The color is beautiful to behold, especially framed by birches, cedars and other denizens of Michigan's lake shore forests. This view belongs to Charlevoix.
