This image is one of my first large scale ventures in the sailboat series. I love the primary colors and the variegated shapes throughout. Obviously this is not a realistic take on sailing but I think it conveys some of the joy and reflective light which sailor know so well.

 

The truth is that my husband loves this work and insists it not be sold. I have made both the paper and the canvas prints for clients and they have come out wonderfully, thanks to Stan Bowman's expertise (go to Stan's site PERFECTARTPRINTS.COM for details).

Nancy and RegattaI am shown with a large commissioned giclee print of "Regatta," 44'' x 58", the largest size Stan can make in canvas. The colors are bluer than noted in this photo. The print has a generous 1 1/2" edge, created by the underlying wood frame, around which the canvas is wrapped and secured. The end result is not only handsome, but also sturdy and ready for immediate hanging. Stan Bowman's website (see Links) has detailed information on his approach to creating the canvas giclees.
